The best period extends from March to November, when the winds are most consistent.

8. Do you offer accommodation or partnerships with accommodation in La Palme?

We do not offer accommodation directly, but we can recommend local partners for your stay.

13. What outfit should I wear to classes?

Bring a swimsuit and a towel. We provide wetsuits suitable for the conditions.

14. What is the difference between a kitesurfing lesson and kitesurfing coaching ?

The course (Kite Odyssey) caters to all levels—from beginner to fully independent rider—with a maximum group size of two students. The coaching (Big Air Coaching) is reserved for riders who can already ride upwind and link transitions; it focuses on technical refinement in freeride, old-school, and big air disciplines, incorporating video analysis and theoretical explanations.

15. Do you need to know how to swim to kitesurf ?

Each student must be able to jump into the water, float on their back for 5 seconds, tread water vertically for 5 seconds, swim 20 meters on their front, and submerge themselves under a floating obstacle. If in doubt, inform your instructor before the session so they can assess your level and validate your Pass'Nautique.

16. How long does it take to become independent in kitesurfing ?

At a normal learning pace, expect an average of around ten sessions to become independent (though the fastest learners may only need 5 to 7)—covering skills such as launching and landing, riding upwind and downwind, managing your riding area and interactions with others (right-of-way rules), deploying and resetting safety systems, retrieving your board, performing a self-rescue, stopping, and linking transitions without assistance. This figure varies depending on lesson frequency, weather conditions, and individual progress.
